Large Family Stone Dwelling

It was proposed to demolish the clients existing dutch bungalow and replace with a large family detached stone dwelling. Located on a substantial site in Medburn, the main aspect of the dwelling was to create a grand sense of entry.
Flanked by stone columns large double doors open up onto a grand double staircase, with symmetry playing a large part in the design of the entrance.
Five bedrooms, all with ensuites are provided at first floor level, with a balcony to the master bedroom to take advantage of the views to the south. To the ground floor there are two living rooms, a dining room and a large kitchen area, all accessed from the grand entrance space.
On completion of the project, the scheme was nominated for an LABC Building Excellence Award.
