Nicholson Nairn have worked with the RMBI for fifteen years and have been involved in a series of alterations, refurbishments and extensions.

Three years ago, following new legislation, the RMBI arranged for all of their homes to be inspected by an independent fire risk assessment company. This inspection threw up a multitude of issues which needed to be resolved in terms of fire strategy and improvements to compartmentation.

Nicholson Nairn were appointed to address the issues identified in the report and generally to make improvements to the image of the home generally. Two wings of the home were totally refurbished at a cost of £600,000.00.

To add to the complicated proposals both legislation and technically all works were carried out whilst the home was fully occupied. A testing time for all involved, but a rewarding and well appreciated outcome.

A secure garden area for the use of residents was also integrated into the works.
